In three easy steps.
Enter service department, sneak into closed showroom and steal two fobs
Have batteries replaced at counter to justify presence at service department.
Come back later with a friend and chirp the lot and drive away with the two cars that reply to the fobs.

Still not the perfect heist. The perfect heist would have included a way for them not to be recognized later... unless they actually were wearing Mission Impossible/hollywood grade disguise and we just don't know. O_O

I've been binge watching Forenics Files on HLN for the last week. I wouldn't be surprised if they can now pull DNA and fingerprints from the footprints he left in the service department floor.
Only time will tell if it's the perfect crime or not.

After searching for a few minutes for a clever photo of someone having their toe prints taken, this is all I could come up with.

So if somebody steals my 2013 S5 cabriolet from the dealership I left it with, do they give me a brand new one?

No. It's just a stolen car. No different that if it was stolen while at the car wash or the valet parking garage.
You'll get a check for it.
